Saturday 15 August 1992 – this wasn’t just your average opening game of the season; this was the date the Premier League was born.  And at 3:04pm that day, at a sun soaked Bramall Lane, Sheffield United’s Brian Deane entered the history books by rising high to power in a Carl Bradshaw throw, via an Alan Cork flick on, for the first ever Premier League goal against Manchester United. The Blades ran out 2-1 victors, but it is Deane’s goal that shall live longest in the memories. (The suggestion for this design and description of the goal came from James Hanwell, a true Blade)
