Championship Promotion and Relegation

With the Championship season reaching its final week, never has who is going to be promoted and who will face the dreaded drop been so uncertain, with only Blackpool so far confirmed to be going down, and Watford guaranteed promotion to the Premier League, its certainly going to be an exciting week.

Automatic Promotion

With Watford already guaranteed promotion, just one more place is left up for grabs to confirm Premier League status. However, with Bournemouth having a game in hand, it really is theirs to lose as all they need to do to secure promotion is win one mere game, should they fail to do that, Middlesbrough and Norwich will be on their tails, with both teams on 84 and 83 points respectively, they could all overtake Bournemouth should they win their final game.

Predicted Team: Bournemouth

With a goal difference advantage, Bournemouth will be able to secure Championship promotion and perhaps challenge Watford for the title.

Play-Off Race

An even tighter race, with Ipswich who sit in 5th just 3 points ahead of Wolves who lie 8th.

Verdict: Brentford and Derby secure playoffs

A slightly bold prediction, but Brentford have been playing well as of late while Ipswich are levelling off, so I predict Blackburn will scrape a win over Ipswich while Brentford thrash Wigan, entering Brentford into the play offs.

I personally think this will be a fight until the end with room for a shock but due to the fact I think both Wolves and Brentford will defeat Millwall and Wigan, that alone will keep Rotherham in the division for at least another season.
